Fleetwood 2006 – THE RETURN OF English craftmanshipRemember the first time you slept in a caravan? The quiet thrill of being close to nature? New smells, new surroundings, the joy of escaping the daily grind? At Fleetwood, we maintain this sense of discovery. After 40 years, we still feel a child-like excitement when we uncover an unexpectedly neat design solution – a curved edge to a work surface, a secret storage area seen only by you. You can see this attitude in all of our caravans, never more so than in the 2006 collection. Fleetwood is one of the few marques still built in the UK. We’ve produced caravans from our Long Melford headquarters in the heart of Suffolk for four decades, and we like to think that this heritage shows, Melford established itself in medieval times as a centre for the region’s woollen cloth industry. The commitment to high quality craftsmanship at Fleetwood is a product of a stable, committed workforce – just like it was back then. We go to enormous lengths (often literally) to source fixtures and fittings that we consider worthy of our build quality. We believe that you can see and feel the difference, whether it’s in the design of a scatter cushion cover or the way a Fleetwood handles in reverse.
Heritage RangeThere comes a time when you know you deserve the luxury of a Fleetwood Heritage. Widely acknowledged to be the best English touring caravan money can buy, its quality strikes home at every touch. The clever body design makes for interiors that feel as if they are truly bespoke. You’ll notice the small details like the satellite television connection points; the 2006 Caprice LPG cooker, candle-style reading lights; fitted microwaves and the clever glass sink and drainer cover which has been designed to provide an extra cutting board area. Outside is just as impressive. New graphics and model numbers complement the elegant high-gloss ABS front and rear elevation panels with spoiler overhang incorporating a high level brake light at the rear. The Heritage has been designed for your enjoyment. Relish it.
These are kitchens you’ll enjoy working in – the stylish design touches make it feel like home. The 640-EB, 640-ES and 640-CB benefit from a superbly practical fridge-freezer stack as well as the handy fitted microwave found on all Heritage models. On the floor, high quality loose carpets with bound edges rest on domestic-quality vinyl flooring. We like to think of it as style for the real world, which means it looks great and is easy to look after. 2006 Models
Meridien RangeThe Meridien is a new range for Fleetwood in 2006 and we’re justly proud of it. These 21st century Clubmans are descended from directly from the Fleetwood Colchester range, the marque that has made Fleetwood famous for over 30 years. We’re launching the Meridien range with five modern and stylish tourers. From the very first glance, we think you’ll love them. Outside, the Meridien’s styling is innovative. A one-piece rear elevation panel in high gloss ABS features a striking spoiler overhang with high-level brake light. Open the door and the Meridien delivers a real home welcome. You’ll notice the Tosca home furnishing fabrics in an exclusive Chanel design, complemented by classic cream curtains with contrast tie-backs. It’s a modern tourer with hard-wearing vinyl flooring, an especially contoured entrance mat, and worktops and tables that have been newly contoured for the new season. We’re delighted with the new Meridien. We fully expect you to be too. 2006 Models
The SonataThe Sonata range is the lightweight Euro-style family tourer in the Fleetwood stable. It’s the superbly practical single-axle option, with four flexible layouts providing easy accommodation for every family. Outside, the Sonatas wear their continental pedigree with pride. The ABS front elevation panel has three front windows whilst the rear lower panel reflects the smooth side styling. There’s a one-piece polyester roof and a white ABS A frame fairing. You’ll notice the characteristic Fleetwood quality too, in finishing touches such as the alloy wheels (there’s a steel spare as standard), Zebion chenille soft furnishings, and ‘bleached beech’ style furniture. Security and peace of mind are not forgotten either – every Sonata has the Thiefbeaters Theft Deterrent System fitted as standard as well as the Alko Secure Receiver. 2006 Models
